MLEC Philippines 2017 Update

Interests were aroused and souls were greatly encouraged as our MLEC team visited pastors and ministry workers in Lanao-Cotabato Area to hold a one-day MLEC Primer last April 29, 2017. The team introduced GraceDrive and its affiliate ministries to ministry partners and prospect recipients of GD services.

The team then conducted the first MLEC in Compostela Valley on May 5-6 with Nabunturan Fundamental Baptist Church and Nabunturan Baptist Bible Seminary as hosts. About 30 pastors and deacons engaged in interactive discussions during Pastor Juan Eclarin’s Spiritual Formation class. Significant and considerably relevant ideas were also exchanged when these pastors and deacons sat at Pastor Mark Gapulan’s Mission, Vision and Goal Setting sessions.

“Yes, this year’s MLEC  is really a blessing! Since I started to be a pastor I never finished the whole process of discipleship. Often, I stopped in the middle. It’s a great eye-opener and tool! PTL!” – Pastor Jun de Guzman, Whitefields Baptist Church, Maa, Davao City

“MLEC softens the rough edges of my understanding of ministry.” – Pastor Rodel Cañete, Fellowship Baptist Church, Tagum City

“I learned a lot of information regarding spiritual leadership and more about discipleship.” – Mr. Eduardo Mesajon, Deacon, Bible Center FBC, Digos City

Pastors and missionaries were also privileged to participate in the second MLEC in Bohol. Generous brethren from Tubigon Baptist Church accommodated and served the ministry leaders who were there last May 7-8. Pastor Juan challenged the undershepherds anew to start and continue their disciple-making ministries which the entire island of Bohol is yet to see thriving.

Indeed, MLEC 2017 has been remarkably successful only because of God’s sufficient grace and mercy. GraceDrive continues its commitment in toiling shoulder to shoulder with our ministry leaders. It is our constant prayer to witness these servants, who were more than eager to be enriched in their ministerial skills, competence and capabilities, produce more fruit for the Master. Soli Deo Gloria!
